The Kalisher Lecture 2026
9 NOVEMBER 2026, 5.30pm at the Central Criminal Court
In this, our 30th anniversary year, we are delighted to announce that the Kalisher Lecture will be given by Joshua Rozenberg KC (Hon). Joshua is a legal commentator and journalist. He began his career in journalism in 1975 at the BBC, launching Law in Action on Radio 4 in 1984. At the BBC he worked as a producer, reporter and then legal correspondent. Between 2000 and 2008 he was the legal affairs editor for the Daily Telegraph. In 2016 he was made an honorary QC. Now a freelance journalist, he writes regular columns for the Law Society Gazette and Legal Cheek in addition to his own ‘Substack’: “A lawyer writes’. He holds a number of honorary doctorates in law. Joshua has been a supporter of the Trust and its aims for many years and we are very pleased to have him as our speaker for this year’s Kalisher Lecture.
The lecture will be on 9 November 2026 in the Bar Mess at the Central Criminal Court. It will start at 5.30, there is no cost to attend but spaces are limited and we anticipate that demand will be high.
If you would like to attend, could you please email: [email protected] with your name, your set of chambers, firm or organisation and putting “KALISHER LECTURE” in the body of the email.
Security at the Central Criminal Court requires that you bring identification with you on the evening, and that names of attendees are notified to the Court by the Trust in advance.
