2020 Virtual Training

The Kalisher Trust held eight virtual training & guidance sessions during July and August 2020, aimed at those who are doing the BPTC, or have done the BPTC and are seeking or hold pupillage.  We welcomed more than 200 fledgling barristers to the sessions over two weeks, and look forward to hosting more sessions in the Autumn.  Thank you to all who took part!

The sessions were led by Kalisher friends and alumni including Dame Anne Rafferty; Andrew Hall QC; Max Hardy; Harry Bentley; Ed Vickers QC; William Charlesworth; Nathan Davis; Fatima Jichi; Eidvile Baniontye; Danielle Manson; Merry van Woodenberg, Martin McCarthy and Nutan Fatania.  We are incredibly grateful to them all for their time and expertise.

Recordings of the sessions can be found below  (mostly the live recordings – some re-recorded later due to technical glitches!).

Life as a prosecutor in the Crown Prosecution Service

The CPS and the Kalisher Trust have revealed a behind-the-scenes look at life as a prosecutor.

In a series of four videos filmed during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, CPS prosecutors discuss their routes into the CPS, training and day-to-day experiences.

The videos are designed to help aspiring prosecutors learn more about what the CPS can offer and give a glimpse of life at the CPS to anyone interested in knowing more about life as a prosecutor.
