The aims of The Kalisher Trust
The trust has four main aims, as follows:
- To help, encourage and inspire bright youngsters of all ages to achieve their potential through the development of advocacy skills.
- To encourage and support bright youngsters who would not otherwise be able to afford to pursue a career at the Criminal Bar.
- To encourage and support young barristers to help them develop sustainable and successful careers at the Criminal Bar.
- To help broaden the social and ethnic representation of the Criminal Bar by supporting bright youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Alongside the main aims of the Trust, our remit is to provide training, financial support, encouragement and assistance to bright, talented young people who would not otherwise be able to afford to pursue a career at the Criminal Bar.
