Thomas Middlecott Academy students visit The Old Bailey

As part of a trip organised by the Kalisher Trust, a group of four Thomas Middlecott Academy students recently visited the Central Criminal Court, otherwise known as the Old Bailey, in London.

The day saw students from across the David Ross Education Trust learn more about the importance of the legal system in a democratic society. Students had the opportunity to find out more about the key elements of a legal trial, and the key values of every human’s right to a fair trial.

Simon Northcott, Director of Enrichment for the David Ross Education Trust, commented: “This visit toThe Old Bailey provided an unique opportunity for our students to learn more about the judicial process. It provided a fascinating insight into careers in the legal field, and to top it off students had the chance to visit a building that is a key part of our history.”
