The Kalisher Trust’s work with Leducate

The Kalisher Trust is proud to be working with educational charity Leducate. Leducate aims to promote an understanding of everyday legal rights among secondary school-aged students in England and Wales. They provide curriculum resources and training for teachers to deliver lessons directly to students on a range of topics including their civil and consumer rights. For more information, see their website at https://www.leducate.co.uk

Leducate and the Kalisher Trust are united in their desire to encourage and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to be better represented in the legal profession and more informed in their interaction with the criminal justice system in particular.

Leducate’s work, facilitating the teaching of every-day legal rights and responsibilities in secondary schools through the provision of free curriculum resources, complements the fantastic work of the Kalisher Trust who provide training, mentoring and assistance to young people in considering and ultimately pursuing careers in the legal professions.

Together Leducate and the Kalisher trust will enable students from their partner schools to benefit from a holistic package of interactive and informative lessons on their rights and responsibilities as they relate to the criminal law (delivered by their own teachers in their classrooms) brought to life by engaging and informative presentations delivered by professionals in the field.
