Kalisher’s Sentencing Academy Intern selected for 2021-2022
Congratulations to Anna Draper, who has been selected as the Kalisher Trust’s Intern with the Sentencing Academy for the upcoming year. We thank all candidates for their high quality applications. The Sentencing Academy is a research body dedicated to developing expert and public understanding of sentencing within the criminal justice system in England and Wales. Their work is essential in improving sentencing practices and increasing public awareness of this important area of criminal law.
We asked Anna to reflect on her achievement:
I am honoured to have been awarded the Kalisher/Sentencing Academy internship. Having briefly carried out research into the effects of sentencing for my Masters degree, I am grateful for the opportunity to use and build upon this knowledge and, in particular, to be able to do so within such well-respected organisations. I have no doubts that this invaluable experience will positively impact upon my career at the Bar. I very much look forward to getting started at the Sentencing Academy next month!
